Two Turkish wind farms with a combined capacity of 70 MW have become the first to achieve Gold Standard Voluntary Emissions Reduction (VER) certification. The first Gold Standard VER carbon credits to be generated have been issued to organisations wanting to voluntarily offset their emissions. The wind farms will produce 164,000 Gold Standard VER credits a year.
